· Assisting director and nurse unit manager develop and establish local policies and procedures to ensure smooth and safe expansion of onsite cardiology and surgical services services and up-skilling critical care support modalities including CRRT and IABP and cardiothoracic surgery

• Responsibility for overall care of admitted ICU patients in level 2 public hospital (500 admissions/yr)
• Broad adult ICU case-mix including referral centre for haematology, oncology and toxicology
• Supervision of training for junior doctors working within ICU
• College of Intensive care (CICM) appointed supervisor of training Faculty member / Instructor at Hunter New England Simulation Centre

• Major Tertiary referral hospital outside of metropolitan Sydney and busiest trauma centre in NSW
• Retrieval Specialist within Hunter Retrieval Service- providing telehealth advice for tasking of inter-hospital transfer of critically unwell patients in HNE local health district . This is the largest LHD in NSW outside of metropolitan Sydney
• Retrieval specialist - aeromedical and road retrieval missions of critically unwell patients

• Predominant helicopter, road and fixed-wing inter-hospital transport of critically unwell patients within Sydney and NSW
