Accomplishments

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and auditing of a Manual Handling Program designed specifically for a Medical Imaging Department
  • Part of Logan Hospital's 'Close the Gap' working group which aims to identify and improve the health of Indigenous Australians. Projects included: Securing the funding for Indigenous art patches for Medical Imaging Department, Putting Logan MID forward for committing to 'Closing the Gap' and speaking on NAIDOC on behalf of the working group.
  • Committee member of the Queensland Indigenous Labor Network. Meeting monthly to help shape state legislation that helps indigenous communities through health policies.
  • Organized and ran a political campaign for Local Government Council seat in 2020. Secured funding, worked with local community groups and focused on policies that would help the local communities.
