My Partner, my client...

  • The Live-in care work I had been providing was done for my defacto partner of three years, who lived with a disability, FA. There was an arrangement that I manage my own ABN and invoice his plan managers. My partner has since sadly passed away though in the immediate time from his passing I am now seeking work. In the course of my care for him I have gained many skills in the Disability Supports area including valuable organizational skills and managing tasks under pressure.

Certification

  • NDISWC Clearance. Issued 19/6/24
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module Certificate

Affiliations

  • I enjoy literature and have a small library of collectable books, i also write myself, poetry, prose and narrative works.

Assistant in Trades

  • I've assisted a relative in his role as a independent plumbing contractor. This entailed early morning starts and settings that we're very extreme. I'd assisted him digging irrigation ditches and got to know about how local work safety culture operates and why it's important in such a role.

Advertising catalog delivery

When I lived in Tasmania prior to NSW I'd been in a role whereby I walked to deliver what was effectively 'junk mail'. The routes of these deliveries were very long and I'd done this regardless of the weather at the time. Our pay was based per roll of material delivered, which was 5 to 10 cents each.
