I discovered the challenges and honours of leadership and was rewarded Sporting Colours for my role as a leader within sport. In my foundation year I was nominated to represent a group of junior doctors in negotiations with an NHS Trust over unsafe working conditions and was awarded a certificate of merit for the work I did to improve working conditions for foundation doctors within the surgical department.
