Dynamic and results-driven Analytical Chemistry Scientist and Laboratory Tutor with 22 years of professional experience and a recently completed Ph.D. in Chemistry (2024). Strong teaching background in environmental studies, with expertise in environmental analysis, trace element assessment, method development and validation (ISO/IEC 17025), water quality management, and laboratory instruction in analytical chemistry and environmental science for master coursework. Committed to advancing interdisciplinary education and sustainability research, and skilled in developing comprehensive curriculum modules for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
I have conducted research in analytical environmental chemistry across 16 projects, focusing on trace element analysis in consumables, fuels, and biological fluids. My work includes selenium detection in dietary supplements, certification of copper and lead in cachaça, and analysis of iron and sodium in ethanol fuel. Additionally, I have contributed to toxicological studies by examining heavy metals in biological fluids. These projects highlight my expertise in developing and validating analytical methods for environmental applications while ensuring metrological standardisation.
In November 2023, I received the Paper of the Month Award at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) for my research contribution. This recognition highlights the impact and quality of my work within the academic community, further reinforcing my commitment to advancing scientific research and contributing to UTS's research excellence.
I am a member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), demonstrating my commitment to professional standards and engagement within the chemistry community.
