- I perform several roles: I am the head of trade finance, seeking out and engaging with financiers in the industry who wish to co-design a data product that can serve to aid in risk mitigation for financiers while simultaneously providing sorely required funding for high quality industry operators
- I also act in an FD like role, providing cash budgeting and forecasts on a weekly basis, am the first point of contact with our accountants, and provide and present monthly analysis for the board meetings with the CEO and CTO

- Our sole focus was in-depth analysis and evaluation of the highly illiquid, non-trading, ‘Level 3’ assets, positions that required modelling to fully understand key risks and sensitivities
- We focused analyses on methodological valuation risks by rebuilding securities to model cashflows and better understand model quality & how / if it integrates key risks
- Full analysis was presented to senior management at the monthly VRC meeting and key issues / implementations - control frameworks, changes to reserves and possibilities of exit were proposed and debated

- Key skills: Valuation methodology and implications, modelling, risk analysis and mitigation of bespoke trades, understanding of desk trading strategies
