With professionalism and dedication to service excellence, backed by an excellent technical and mechanical background, I am both Australian and South African Trade Qualified as a Mechanical Fitter. I have throughout my career employed and maintained the highest standards, while always complying with health and safety regulations. Being a diligent and very punctual field expert, with a strong moral character, I readily volunteer my knowledge and services beyond my assigned scope of work, in the spirit of mentorship, leadership and assurance of punctual project completion to the benefit of my employer and the work team. Gaining invaluable hands-on skills in my trade to date, I have been working as part of the engineering team at Movie World. Prior to this, I have worked offshore in various countries since I have been qualified as a mechanical fitter, while working for a Norwegian Oil & Gas exploration company. As an avid sport and outdoor enthusiast in excellent physical health, I am eager and quick to learn, while applying and teaching valuable workplace skills in my quest for continued professional success.

  • Identify and implement the most acceptable resolutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Inspect and diagnose engineering equipment failure, follow proven engineering methods and schematics in order to repair machinery or rollercoasters.
  • Assist management as a Leading Hand, to delegate jobs to fellow employees and ensure tasks are completed safely in good time.
  • Document equipment and ride performance history using Maximo. Report overall work progress on the floor and at rides to Leading Hands and Supervisors.
  • Worked in major ride upgrades eg: Road Runner and Green Lantern Rollercoaster. I was also tasked to train fellow employees on the new upgrades.
  • Use of engineering practices and methods at various ride shut downs and rebuilds.
