Work History

Debt Collector Agent

1 Year 2 Months
Credit Corp Group (Afterpay) | 05.2025 - 07.2026

Working at Credit Corp Groupup on behalf of Afterpay, responsibilities included handling both inbound and outbound calls relating to established payment plans, overdue accounts, and general account inquiries.

I assisted customers with negotiating suitable repayment arrangements, updating personal/contact information, and ensuring agreed payment amounts were manageable for each customer individual circumstances while maintaining a high level of professionalism by following legal compliance requirements and company policies and core values.

At times, I was also responsible for conducting 3 month follow ups with customers whose accounts had been placed on long term holds due to financial difficulties. This required handling sensitive financial and personal circumstances with patience & understanding. Although these conversations could be challenging, I found this aspect of the role particularly rewarding as I was able to assist customers during difficult periods while working towards appropriate outcomes for both the company and the customer.

Another responsibility I undertook was training new staff members. This involved introducing them to our debt collection systems, teaching them how to navigate the tools and software used throughout the role, and demonstrating how to assist customers from start to finish while adhering to the company’s core values and procedures. Following their initial training, I monitored their performance, provided guidance where required, and ensured their work was being completed accurately and in accordance with company standards.
