  • Responsible for the management of eight AHS technicians and the maintenance of all the Minestar and autonomy technology on 450+ assets on site. Providing guidance, coaching, training and managing annual leave of the team.
  • Determining work activities based on priority and understanding of technician’s skill levels within the team. Identifying technician’s strong and weak points and helping develop them through a buddy system with more experienced technicians.
  • Ensuring our weekly maintenance plan’s work management requirements are met in SAP, this includes closing out work orders, rescheduling jobs, parts return and making sure technicians have recorded their hours and comments on these jobs.
  • Ensuring the team is adhering to Fortescues approach to safety, regularly signing JHA's and being in the field. Making sure that the Fortescue values are alive and well within the team, with a big focus on safety, enthusiasm and humility.
  • Identifying members of the team with leadership qualities and training them on the roles and responsibilities of the department supervisor to fill in when required.
  • Created consumable system within AMS department which now gives technicians access to items regularly required for their work. Identifying any issues with inventory/stock levels and raising ATI's to meet demand for repairs, usage or the alignment with other sites.

Autonomous Technician
