At ABS i started my career as workplacement then carried onto start my apprenticeship. Here i learnt all my fundamentals of the trade reading drawings, marking out and carrying out cutlists on a variety of machines, fabrication on skids, tanks, machine guarding and structural items and anything else that came in the door. carried out welding and pressure testing on applicable jobs then packing ready to send to customer.

I started here with an understanding of the trade which was picked up on quickly. This left me to be able to left with the responsibility on the fabrication side of the job and help teach the other apprentices under me. I got the opportunity to work along side other tradesmen on the bigger jobs such as buckets, sticks, tracks, chutes and pipe work
