• This job involved working for a commercial landscape group on large sites such as new housing complexes, schools etc.
• When work on the Northside become available, I accept the job and find my own way to the site. I am often working with new people, so I need to introduce myself, get a summary of what is required and immediately get on with the work.
• The jobs involve various tasks, moving retaining wall rocks, spreading mulch, laying new lawn etc.
• The work is all outdoors, regularly physically demanding, but enjoyable as you can see the results of your effort.

• Supported senior technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various HVAC systems.
• Removed old equipment from customers' homes and cleaned up areas to prepare for new installations.
• Installed new equipment in multiple customer locations.
• Worked on various job types from domestic to larger industrial sites.
• The work hours were a 6.am start till 3 pm finish.

Using my own car, I spent a short time working at a Pizza store. It was a locally owned shop and it provided me with my first chance to work for a business.

I learnt about customer service, how to get around the city, and various aspects of tasks in a shop.

I enjoyed my time there but the business had a high turnover in staff and I had to focus on my studies.
