I was approached by Rod Mitchell and employees at the time to come work for CAMs where the knowledge and skills I acquired throughout my apprenticeship made my transition into new company relatively easy. The work was similar and I was confident in my abilities. Within 6 months i was appointed team leader even when I was the youngest in the group by a large gap which fast tracked my leadership development learning how to deal with different personalities types, age groups other trades and customers. I earned my respect from taking responsibility with the harder more complicated tasks and setting the standard on production and quality.

I have worked on various projects in my time here some of note would be Port Lincoln PLEC, Elizabeth and Castle Plaza HV Upgrade, Tonsley Village High voltage and Low voltages infrastructure Installs, SA Water Happy Valley HV Upgrade, Mt Gambier Substation Cable repairs, Boliver Water Treatment Plant, Tonsley Hydrogen Plant, SA Water Solar projects. within those projects we worked in electrical systems up to 33kv.

I have had to communicate with clients, organise other trades and their work, manage and delegate workers and perform this well above what was expected from my employers on a consistent basis.

I have worked on countless URD projects where I consistently would be completing jobs well within time frames they were quoted for with quality workmanship that would show on compliance. I have assisted different groups in the business whether it be with training of workers in HV cable joints and terminations or them just utilising my underground knowledge and labour.

Also Assisted and ran Lighting projects

During my time at VIP I was luckily enough to work under tradesman with a range of skills some specialised in certain fields. I was more focused in the HV scope of works where we would do upgrades to infrastructure and new installations on mine sites, Industrial plants and factories, hospitals, Shopping centres, Building and residential developments.

In that time I learned skills such as HV cable jointing and terminating, Various sized cable pulls wether it be direct buried, through conduits and pits or on cable tray that we had erected and instaslled. Installation of various different types, sizes and ages of Transformers and switch gear ie. cubicles. Earthing systems and Solar installs

We did a large amount of Underground Residential Development works on new subdivisions and housing developments. Control Wiring , Fault finding, mechanic's trade skills.

Worked closely with other trades on construction sites, creating a positive working environment for efficient project completion.

Understood and used proper tools and equipment to install and maintain electrical systems. Learned and followed latest electrical codes and regulations to deliver compliant electrical systems.

Inspected electrical systems, equipment to identify hazards and defects. Can go into greater details if required.
