As an apprentice I enjoyed the challenges and learning opportunity this position presented. As a first year student I was tasked with:

• Organized materials and tools in to maintain clean and neat work areas.
• Kept tools and materials organized, contributing to a clean and safe work area for all team members throughout each project''s duration.
• Followed all safety procedures and guidelines to promote safety while working on electrical systems.
• Cleaning hoists when returned to workshop from site and other equipment.
• Pre-start of all company vehicles
• Helping technicians in the of hoist and hoist upgrades.

• Plan the layout and schedule the installation of electrical systems based on job

specifications and local codes.

• Installation of switchboards, switchboard upgrades, house re-wiring and mains power upgrades.

• Diagnose malfunctioning air conditioning and components.

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and

determine repair requirements.

• Supervise and train workers to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment

and fixtures.

• Comply with OHS procedures, AS/NZ 300 and documentation requirements

• Install and repair of general power and lighting around site.
• General repair and maintenance of generator and generator powered lights in mining pit.
• RCD, emergency light and switchboard testing.
• Upgrade to electrical earthing system and commissioning of fixed plate equipment
• General maintenance of the electrical system onsite to ensure continuous safe operation of equipment work.
• Use of SAP to document all works performed and parts that will need be replaced.
• Trained as an Isolation officer for other contractors onsite.
• Having great experience working on a RIO TINTO site and have a great understanding of all safety requirements.

• Installation and wiring of electrical transformers, HV cables and HV switchboards.
• Installation of earth grid system, PLC systems, wiring up of conveyor motors and water pumps.
• Installed security cameras, sound alert systems and data system in switch rooms.
• Read and interpret electrical drawing to plan and execute wiring layouts and connection.

• Worked from ladders, scaffolds and lifts to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring equipment and lighting fixtures in ceilings and on roofs.
• Installed and wired electrical switchboards, service panels, and circuit breakers.
• Planned layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on specifications and applicable code.
• Inspected electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and repair requirements.

• Installing and wiring of High Voltage cable, electrical transformers, High Voltage switchboards, service panels, and circuit breakers.
• Installation of lighting and power circuit and control systems.
• Meeting clients safety standards and requirements at a high level

• shut down work, camp upgrades and maintenance and camp build.
• inground works, conduit install, cable up, wiring and cable termination and switchboard install.
• Read and interpreted electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications for wiring layouts.
