Summary

I would describe myself as a knowledgeable and self-motivated person. I recently graduated from The University of Adelaide with a Civil/Structural Engineering degree. I have completed a wide variety of projects during my time at university, including building structure sketches, hydraulic resource management, and research assistance, among others. I am highly skilled in reinforced concrete design and building footing design. I have proven experience in Finite Element Analysis, Hydrology and Flood Management. These projects provided me with experience in the civil engineering industry.

Work History

Civil Engineering Internship

TVL Innovative designers and project management
09.2022 - 01.2023
  • Creating detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD with complete dimensional data for construction purposes (e.g Duct systems in buildings)
  • Reviewed and modified 3 residential building drawings and 1 community layout drawing
  • Created 3 different views for each building drawing from location and size details
  • After several communications with the supervisor, the modification became the final version and was used
  • Performed accurate calculations of the loads on structures (e.g Heating loads)
  • Conducted Natural disaster Risk Analysis of residential buildings in Sydney
  • Researching information from Australia Standards.

Wetland Management Project (Honours project)

Banrock Station Wetland Management
03.2022 - 11.2022
  • Performed research and analysis project for Banrock Station
  • Site inspection for wetland hydrology data
  • Water balance model design
  • Through historical data sorting and real-time data collection, the hydrological data in the wetland area is integrated, combined with multiple factors and converted into a mathematical model
  • The model is used to predict future water level changes in the wetland, allowing managers to better control internal flow and simulate the effects of changes to the water level
  • Historical water flow and water level analysis through ArcGIS
  • Flood frequency analysis
  • Exceed probability analysis
  • Presented this project twice, once to the Staff of Banrock station, and once as part of an exhibition at Adelaide Convention Center.

Design Practice Course

The University of Adelaide
03.2022 - 07.2022
  • Design practice for a university building
  • As a leader, lead a group of four, delegated tasks, communicated regularly with all group members to ensure that all tasks were completed before the deadline
  • Responsible for the design and analysis of the structural part of the university teaching building, and finally gave a design load of this building
  • Performed Dead/Live load calculation, reinforcement concrete design and Wind and Earthquake analysis
  • Estimated Costs
  • Received High Distinction for project.
