Making sure the restaurant is neat at all times. Restocking different items at the restaurant.
Working at multiple stations at once, such as packing takeaways, taking customers' orders, and food preparation at the same time.
During my internship with the International and Engagement department at UTS School of Design. I was tasked to create a Chinese course outline booklet for the UTS Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication degree. I was responsible for:
The content in the booklet was written and translated by me.
Interviewing UTS Design alumni about their experience studying at UTS in English. These interviews were then translated into Chinese and used as student testimonials in the booklet
Designing and typesetting the content for the booklet
Receiving feedback from different UTS departments, such as the UTS marketing team. Making changes based on their feedback and making the booklet design more suitable for UTS marketing.
During my time as a part-time sale assistant at H&M Hennes & Mauritz, I worked in a rather fast-paced environment where I needed to handle several tasks at once. The company equipped me with skills such as:
Helping my customers to find their sizing, assisting them to find the exact type or item of clothing they are looking for
Contacting different H&M stores when a specific size of a clothing item is unavailable at my store.
Assisting customers when it comes to refunds and exchanges of clothing items.
Unboxing and refilling new items of clothing before the store opens, and constantly keeping the fitting room and storefront tidy.
