I am a junior software engineer with over a year of work experience. Through my time at the University of Tasmania, I gained an understanding of many software languages and design principles. From working at Australian Maritime College and OSSA-IT, he has proven to be able to problem-solve and learn new applications. I have completed a P3T Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology with majors in design and development and artificial Intelligence as of July 2021. I have a comprehensive education in ICT, with a strong focus on application design and development, user interface design, and artificial intelligence. I am always looking for ways to automate and speed up my work to ensure projects are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible while maintaining a high work standard and meeting the project’s goals.
TasPorts
Led the design and development of a comprehensive budget forecasting system for Tasports, upgrading their previous Excel-based system to support the 2026 budget. Collaborated closely with the Tasports team to modernise their budgeting process, emphasising data accuracy, scalability, and user experience. Leveraged advanced Excel expertise to manage and analyse large datasets efficiently. Clear and proactive communication was key to aligning system functionality with user needs, ensuring optimal usability and practical application.
Developer
Metro Tasmania
I worked alone on designing and developing a Power Platform application and workflow to enable the secure sharing of video files with chosen 3rd parties for Metro Tasmania. The work involved integrating the video footage files on physical media within the MetroTas network, uploading the required files to their SharePoint cloud tenancy, and then sharing a time-expiring link with specified individuals to provide limited access to the file. The solution included auditing/logging, template configuration, and adjustable time expiry for the file link.
Test Automation Developer
Dept. Education, Children, and Young People
My role as a Test Automation Developer at the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) was marked by my strong collaboration with the team. I played a pivotal role in designing a System for automated application testing with continuous integration and delivery, a project that involved C#, NuGet, Playwright and DevOps integration. My ability to work closely with the team and develop the project solution and NuGet package demonstrated my excellent teamwork skills.
I have completed courses in ServiceNow, Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure DevOps Services.
Ossa Test Framework
Ossa-it
I was part of a team developing a NuGet package focused on automated application testing with continuous integration and delivery. This project incorporates a wide range of programming and problem-solving skills and is a great example of my ability to learn and adapt to new proficiencies.
I have also been central in the training (through prompt engineering) of an Ossa corporate AI copilot to assist with generating test classes based on the Ossa framework. This tool will significantly reduce the time required to develop UI tests over most web application scenarios with either Playwright or Selenium.
Software Engineer
AUSTRALIAN MARITIME COLLEGE DEFENCE CONTRACT (AMC INTERN)
I was responsible for designing and building an automated acoustic message decryption and capture for the ranger from the Remus 100 (AUV) to be sent to an Arduino microcontroller and passed to the mission laptop simultaneously.
I developed all aspects of the Project: encryption and translation (Python), Microcontroller Design and Coding (C++), GPS integration, Documentation and Thermal message printing automation.
