I am a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with diverse clinical experience across acute respiratory care, cystic fibrosis management, major trauma critical care, disability assessment, and surgical nursing. After earning a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing from Manchester Metropolitan University, I began my career at Newcastle Upon Tyne Foundation Trust before gaining international experience in leading Australian hospitals. These roles have not only deepened my understanding of complex chronic disease management but also fostered my interest in clinical research as a means to drive long-term improvements in patient outcomes.
My professional and educational background has positioned me well to support the co-ordination and operational oversight of clinical research. I have experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, most notably on a cystic fibrosis unit, facilitating patient engagement, safety and co-ordinated care to ensure optimal health outcomes.
I have worked closely and developed relationships with patients and their families living with cystic fibrosis and am familiar with the unique clinical and psychosocial challenges they face. This expirience has empowered and informed my strong interest to contribute to research supporting cystic fibrosis innovation where I can apply my clinical insight to impactful research.
Currently completing a Master’s in Global Public Health, I have strengthened my skills in research methodology and data analysis. As part of my studies, I am conducting my own research analysing the impact of social inequality on the incidence dengue fever. This academic foundation alongside my clinical experience reinforces my commitment to using research as a tool for driving informed health innovation. I am excited at the prospect of joining a team that is advancing cystic fibrosis research and improving the lives of people living with chronic respiratory illness.
