  • I am currently working at Learning Ladders where I am able to provide one-on-one literacy and numeracy intervention support for students with learning difficulties including: Dyslexia; Autism Spectrum Syndrome; Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder - Inattentive and Hyperactive; Dysgraphia; Low muscle tone; EAL/D; slow processing speed and fine motor challenges.
  • I have had 20 different clients from 2023 to now. I have provided each student with individualised lessons regarding their academic and disability needs. I have been able to teach 18 students phonemic awareness, phonics, reading and writing skills. I also have taught 2 other students numeracy skills in relation to what they are learning at school and the gaps they have in relation to the Australian Curriculum achievement standard and content descriptors.
  • This job requires me to communicate effectively with parents regarding appointment times and student progress. It also requires me to continuously assess students progress so that I can provide the most effective intervention support. Finally, it requires me to plan and create resources that ensure each student is engaged in their lesson.

  • I baby sit for a family of 5 children ranging from the oldest being in grade 7 to the youngest being 2 years old. I ran their homeschooling once a week for 2 years. I currently run the oldest child's homeschooling and mind the 2 year old as the other children are in school now.
  • When babysitting at night I play games, work on puzzles, and read books to them.
  • I communicate positively with the children and guardians.
  • I organized and clean their home after activities by picking up toys, straightening up play room and cleaning up food.
  • I maintain a clean and organized environment to ensure the well-being of children under care.
  • I behaviour manage when necessary through positive methods and through the parents chosen consequence system.

Gateway Baptist Church - Mackenzie Campus

  • I began as a junior leader for Gateway Baptist's children's pre-school and primary programs.
  • From 2021 to current I became the key leader, where I was in charge of the pre-school 3 to 5 year old room. In this role, I supervise groups of children ranging from 10 to 30 and groups of junior leaders ranging from 2 to 5. Every Sunday I teach the children bible stories and run crafts for them. I also assist junior leaders in their role by delegating responsibilities appropriate to their abilities and supporting their interactions with the children.
  • From 2022 to current I have volunteered in the churches yearly primary school holiday program. I have been in charge of 50 to 95 children and 10 to 13 other leaders. During this time I plan, assist and run activities across 5 days.

Grade and class size: Year 5, 24 students.

Learning challenges/ diversity needs: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; autism spectrum disorder; anxiety; and Engish as a second language/ dialect. 


Pompuraaw State School

2023 - 4 weeks in term 4

Grade and class size: Years 1 and 2 composite, 22 students.

Learning challenges/ diversity needs: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder;  fetal alcohol spectrum disorder; trauma in past and present; English as a second language/ dialect; Aboriginal and Tores Strait Islander students and intelectual disabilities.

Grade and class size: PREP and year 1 composite , 21 students.
