Work Experience

I have completed work experience for my school Upper Coomera State College at Youfit. Youfit is personal training gym in Upper Coomera that do classes from 5.00 to 10.00am and 3.00 to 7.30pm where I cleaned, or observed the fitness trainers train classes and individual people. Through work experience I learnt a lot of work happens behind the scenes or indirectly, for example I observed the role of a fitness trainer in a gym is mostly preparing equipment for people to use and encouraging the people there to support them.

Sporting Achievements

I have played field hockey since 2013, and I currently play for Labrador Hockey Club and represent our regional Gold Coast Hockey Association, reaching state level representation in 2022 for NSW Indoor Hockey. I consistently attend team training and games, and am considered a reliable team member. I additionally umpire Hockey games ensuring players have a safe and consistent experience following the rules of play, without imposing myself on the game. I have umpired at a state championship level. I aim to be a good level Hockey player and leader on the field as well as off the field. I have supported mentoring young players using the skills other people have shown me to give back and support other people's development.

In 2021 I began casually rock climbing and bouldering. During the summer months I enjoy participating in casual bouldering and rock climbing for fitness and fun. I like that the activity makes you think about what you are doing, such as what path you need to take to achieve the goal and has lots of variety.

Additional Information

I would like to work here because I feel that it will be something I will enjoy doing. It will make me feel that I need to push more and stay alert at all times that I am on and off the job. I also believe it will help me become a strong minded person and become helpful to those who need. The job can be as simple as cleaning but I will do it to the best of my ability and I will not be shy to ask if I or someone else needs help.
