I am a 33-year-old Czech national with a background in healthcare. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery in 2014, and subsequently worked as a midwife in the Czech Republic from 2014 to 2020. In 2020, I took the opportunity to expand my horizons and gain international life experience by living and working abroad. Over the past few years, I have held Working Holiday and Young Professional visas in Canada, and a Working Holiday visa in New Zealand. During these stays, I worked in a variety of roles, including hospitality, cleaning, farming, and as a pharmacy assistant, which have helped me become more resilient, adaptable, and confident in English-speaking environments. I would like to improve my English skills, so I am going to study English at a college in Adelaide. I love hiking – this year, I fulfilled my dream of walking 1000 km across the South Island of New Zealand via the Te Araroa trail. I also enjoy drawing, reading stories, and writing poems.
