Communication Skills

The hospitality industry promotes teamwork and relies on each team member being dependable and trustworthy when it comes to communication. I have been able to work with people of different ages and abilities which has improved my patience, teaching skills and communication. This is a standard that I hold in high regard. My role as a medical receptionist has allowed me to grow in a professional atmosphere where communication is of utmost importance. I have learnt to deal with upset and displeased patients and interpret what it is that they require from reception and the medical practitioner. I have had the opportunity to correspond with doctors and specialists, legal corporations, hospitals and other medical centres to organise meetings, request legal documentation and share information in a professional manner. I highly value the skills I have learned in this role and will continue to apply them throughout my work life.
