Having experience in Primary and remediation to ATAR classes, I am able to target lessons to students of any level, to help them achieve their highest potential.

  • Also taught ATAR Modern History, and Years Seven to Twelve English, including remediation classes
  • Developed whole school literacy plan, including extension and ATAR classes, as well as targeted remediation programs
  • Created engagement programs including annual book week festival, writing clubs, and cross campus reading
  • Used student data to reflect on and adapt teaching programs
  • As HOLA, supported staff and lead professional development sessions; moderations; peer growth coaching; as well as expectation for assessment templates, feedback and report comments
  • As a teacher, created engaging lessons that assisted students in achieving their self selected goals, particularly notable in the success of English and Modern History students, with 100% of students achieving standard, and 30% achieving higher than 80%

  • Integrated HaSS and Literacy unit where students planned and ran a survival camp to a significant Gooniyandi (community) site, where elders shared hunting and fishing skills, and students used the experience to write instructional texts
  • Developed attendance initiatives, worked closely with families to support community interests, and ran literacy assessments
  • Redeveloped behaviour management processes to ensure greater consistency throughout the school
  • Successfully scheduled and coordinated staff and students while leading the Yiyili athletics carnival
