Work History

Boarding Supervisor

Toowoomba Anglican School
01.2022 - 06.2024
  • With charge of 30 + young boarders between the ages of 9 and 13, my duties varied far and wide, ranging from taking the group on excursion to the local park, to resolving daily conflicts between students, to overseeing cleanup of a night and getting both floors (boys and girls) to wind down and prepare for bed.
  • Facilitated smooth transitions for new students entering boarding by providing comprehensive care to each individual.
  • Maintained strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provided empathetic guidance in personal matters, helping students navigate their adolescence while away from home.
  • Prepared detailed daily reports on student performance and behaviour trends, supporting continuous improvement efforts within the boarding program.
  • Managed conflicts effectively to foster a harmonious living environment within the dormitories.
  • Handled emergency (sometimes multiple) situations promptly, coordinating with relevant personnel to ensure student safety at all times.
  • Given the option to step-up into the role of House Parent, I declined, deciding to move on and seek out a new challenge in a different field where I can further diversify my skills.

Tennis Coach

Range Tennis Club
03.2022 - 03.2024
  • Throughout the two years of coaching, I progressed from assisting under the wing of the Head Coach to running my own private lessons, group lessons, and chaperoning 20+ junior players to tournaments.
  • Working primarily with children, I challenged the young athletes to develop through consistent use of positive reinforcement and gentle criticism.
  • Enhanced player performance by implementation of personalised training programs.
  • Promoted sportsmanship among players by modelling respectful behaviour on court, off court, and during competition.
  • Established positive relationships with parents/guardians of athletes to align expectations about their child's development within the tennis program.
  • Organized and managed successful tennis clinics, attracting new clients and increasing the program''s revenue.

Web Designer

University of Southern Queensland
06.2023 - 12.2023
  • Throughout my six-month contracted position, I:
  • Mastered the functions and capabilities of Sitecore from scratch, leveraging them to redesign and relaunch the university website according to client specifications.
  • Improved overall site aesthetics through the use of high-quality graphics, typography choices, colour schemes and layout principles provided.
  • Worked collaboratively with my team to ensure that each stage of the process was completed without error.
  • Troubleshot technical issues and optimized websites for search engine optimization, performance and accessibility.
  • Acquired and exploited existing code and assets to accelerate project completion.

  • Preserved brand integrity by monitoring consistency and quality of marketing content.

Private Nanny

Multiple Families (4)

  • Developed strong relationships with parents, maintaining open communication about each child's progress and needs.
  • Built positive and nurturing environments to support child social and emotional growth.
  • Oversaw household duties such as light housekeeping tasks (cooking, cleaning) and the running of errands (groceries, school pick-up).
  • Played games, tutored homework, and organised outside adventures/excursions with children.
  • Established clear expectations for behaviour, setting boundaries and distributing discipline as appropriate to create a respectful atmosphere within the home.
  • Established lasting, professional connections with families and children by encouraging open communication and delivering positive feedback.

Model

Self-Employed
01.2017 - 12.2019
  • Signing with my first agency at the age of 15, I decided to pursue a modelling career upon completion of my secondary schooling 2016. Throughout the next few years, I was signed with different agencies in Australia and across the world, where I would relocate for several months at a time to work. I gained invaluable life experience and industry skills that have served me wonderfully in every professional role I have assumed since. In 2021, I decided to wrap up my modelling contract, in order to focus on my university degree and pursuing my other passions. Some of the many skills I developed during my time as a model were:
  • An outstanding work ethic and maturity, with a specific appreciation for time constraints and the necessity of punctuality.
  • A grounded yet unerring confidence (both verbal and non-verbal), able to successfully navigate and negotiate conversations and situations to influence toward best outcome.
  • Proficiency in maintaining a positive attitude and sought solutions calmly (even when things were going pear-shaped).
  • A remarkable aptitude to work and problem-solve both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong, fond relationships with industry professionals, expanding my network and access to job opportunities.
