I have volunteered with Barker tech team for a period of multiple years now. It involves regular meetings and cooperation with both staff and students to ensure that applications and machinery around the school remains useable and up to date.
I worked on a double production of The importance of being Ernest and The school for wives at Barker College in 2023. This job involved coordination with the director and set designers to manage and craft the lighting design as well as coordination and management of stage crew for the facilitation of the play. The job was demanding and involved me to remain consistent with my responsibilities even when it conflicted with both my personal and academic life.
I worked on the 2023 musical production of Les Miserables at Barker college. This job involved me to deal with a demanding workload for a long period of time, with the production spanning from the start of term 4 to half way through term 1 and involving nights that would end close to and after midnight. In this period I worked with 3 different directors, 4 set designers, a lighting co-director and designer to achieve the best possible outcome for the musical.
Performed:
maintenance of set and lighting, coordination of lighting and design teams, facilitation of a show and building and managing of teams.
Taught Kids how to sail and coordinated activities with other Instructors. Worked with kids that had learning and social disabilities to ensure the best outcomes whilst participating in group activities.
Also participated in a youth development program that led to working with other sailors in a group of 5 to race in state, national and overseas events. Involved a large amount of team work and skill.
I was involved in a production of Romeo and Juliet at barker college. In this role I had to commit to late nights and consistent communication with the director and other members of the crew to create, manage and facilitate the lighting in the show. This involved a nearly 3 month period of working before and after school that showed a commitment to the job and an open mind in working with others to reach the best outcome for the show.
