Elyse Lam

I am an international student studying at University of New South Wales for a Bachelor of Commerce, pursuing in Accounting and Finance. I am proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin which enables me to communicate effectively in a diversified society. Studying in Australia has allowed me to experience different cultures, broadening my horizons, strengthening independence and enhancing problem solving skills. I demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skill in university group work. I tend to take on the role to be the team leader as I have developed strong time management skills and organisational skills. I would set clear timeline for my groupmates and motivate members to collaborate. Furthermore, I have taken the initiative to take on an internship role in the insurance industry in Hong Kong, I gained practical experience in the insurance industry where I could apply my knowledge learned in real-world scenarios. I am looking forward to gaining more hands-on experience in the future to strengthen my skills and knowledge.
