RAISE Foundation - Youth Mentoring

Raise strives to empower young minds through early intervention mentoring, equipping young

people with lifelong skills for a brighter future.

In this role I supported a young male high school student through weekly sessions, and engaged

in group counselling with other mentors.


ARTIE Academy - Tutoring Program

The ARTIE Academy is an initiative of the Queensland Former Origin Greats (FOGS) and

funded by the Australian and Queensland Government, to assist to Close the Gap in educational

outcomes between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

In this role I was responsible for: being a reliable and consistent role model for students, keeping

students engaged with their work, assisting them to create educational and wellbeing strategies,

encouraging students to maintain attendance, and developing strong working relationships with

the school's staff and students.


Creative Connection Counselling

At my placement with Creative Connection Counselling, I have supported the development and delivery of emotional literacy programs tailored for children, teens, and adults. These programs are informed by the latest academic research and psychological techniques, with a strong focus on emotional intelligence. Through art therapy and creative approaches, we guide clients in boosting their emotional wellbeing, helping them express and manage their emotions more effectively. My role involves facilitating 1:1 and group sessions, engaging clients through art and storytelling, and supporting their journey toward greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.
