Here is my work feedback form Fenella Wilkinson

To whom it may concern.

My staff and I had the pleasure of hosting Emily Rose Windeyer Dean as a work experience student recently.

She showed a very keen attitude to learning about herbs, vitamins and minerals. I was really impressed with her knowledge and ability to pick up tasks easily.
Emily has a warm and pleasant personality around other staff members and towards the customers, which is important in a retail setting.
I also noticed she followed instructions from the other team members without hesitation. My staff commented on how lovely Emily is and how easily Emily fit in with all of us.

I am sure that whatever she decides to put her mind to she can achieve.

I would highly recommend Emily in any retail setting.

• I did work experience at the Honey Pot for two months
• Used the till
• Priced groceries
• Packed and organised shelves
• Served costumers
• Maintained cleanliness and organization of the honey pot workspace, working closely with employees.

• I worked for Belinda Gonsalves for two years putting up Christmas decorations around Tamworth. We put up the Christmas decorations in major shopping centres and clubs.

• I was a volunteer at Agquip and the Tamworth Show this year (2022)

I had to:

• Engage with kids and adults, keeping up conversation
• Inflate helium balloons
• Help set up and pack up
• Play age appropriate games with kids, like Jenga, stilts, soccer, throw a footy, and magnetic fishing
• I leant the importance of listening to people and to gain an understanding of where they are at emotionally, physically and spiritually.

• As part of my homechooling I had the opportunity to develop business management skills by growing garlic on a small commercial scale on our farm. With the help of my family I supplied restaurants and produce stores from Newcastle to Port Macquarie. I learnt how to work hard and developed organisational and business management skills. Selling the garlic gave great opportunities to know how to relate to customers. I learnt valuable life; for instance, doing the right thing at the right time as well as the meaning of delayed gratification.

• Fed animals which included; 5 pigs, six dogs, a lot of ducks and chickens.
• Made sure the animals water was clean and available
• Kept the house in order

• ran games
• served morning tea
• helped lead and organise craft
• Formed close relationships with the kids

Baby sitting was one of the hardest things I have done. I came away with a new sense of time management and the importance of being productive. Having to think for myself as well as three young boys was challenging, but it gave me a huge respect for parents and carers of children. My responsibilities included preparing meals, maintaining order and cleanliness around the house and preparing them for school and daycare each morning including dropping them off and picking them up. Being in contact with both parents helped tremendously. I loved playing with them and learning their individual personalities.

• Served food and beverages promptly with focused attention to customer needs.
• Explained menu items and suggested appropriate options for food allergy concerns.
• Used slow periods to restock supplies, ice, trays, and delivery bags.
• Cultivated warm relationships with regular customers.
• Followed health and safety protocols crucial for maintaining safe and sanitary environments for customers and staff.
• Worked with POS system to place orders, manage bills, and handle complimentary items.
