  • Work closely with my preceptors to provide quality care promptly to a range of patients throughout the areas of Anaesthetics, Recovery and Scrub Scout.
  • Insertion and removal of LMA's under supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for surgery, including completion of a adult admission assessment, patient education, and patient/procedure-specific tasks such as applying TEDS, ECG and BIS monitoring and IV set up .
  • Postoperative recovery care and monitoring as well has handover of patients to Day Surgery.

2023 Mental Health Nursing - Tweed Adult Case Management and Kurrajong Inpatient Unit, Tweed Hospital ( 80 hours )

  • Attended every possible learning opportunity that was on offer, followed the staff in the case management team on home visits.
  • Attended to IM and subcutaneous injections safely, sat in on client interviews, attended ward rounds and case reviews and researched as new concepts arose.
  • learnt the roles of Kurrajong Inpatient Unit, the Acute Care Team, the Homeless Outreach Team, the Suicide Prevention Outreach Team, the Case Management team, Tuckeroo and the different age groups.

  • Embraced all opportunities, including a half-day education in the renal dialysis unit, two hours of education in the oncology day unit, half a day in ED resus.
