This position gave me a lot of life experience I wouldn’t have been exposed to in any other setting. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the role that sexual health plays in holistic care. I prided myself for turning this role into a position that allowed me to help people.

  • In charge of all ordering for the store, managing a roster and the hiring of staff for the Brisbane stores
  • Held meetings to educate staff on medical conditions effecting sexual health, trained staff on how to discuss safe sex practices with customers ie. Dams, condoms, lubricant and toys that are safe to use with multiple partners. I trained my team to sell products in a safe way and we were highly recognised for that within our community.
  • Created the manual for different health conditions that affected sexual health for men and women. It included what we could recommend to help which also included red flags list so that staff could recommend a trip to the doctor or pelvic floor physio if it sounded as if it was required
  • education for staff on sensitivity for customers that were sexual assault victims
