Working with Alliance has allowed me to gain exposure by working in new areas and adapting quickly to new clinical environments.

Here I have worked on numerous surgical wards, medical, post natal, day surgery, and CT.

• Monitored and recorded vital signs of patients and administered medication as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborated with interdisciplinary team members to create individualized care plans for patients
• Conducted patient assessments and assisted in medical procedures such as inserting catheters, administering injections, and wound dressing
• Communicated with patients and their families to provide emotional support and educate them about their conditions
• Documented patient care and chose individual care plans for each patient
• Participated in continuing education programs to maintain knowledge and skills in nursing practices
• Performed phlebotomy and cannulation.

During this time as a nursing intern I worked on 4 wards, of different specialities:

• St Helens ward- a surgical ward - specializes in breast and gynaecology
• St Monicas ward- Infectious disease ward during the Covid Pandemic
• St Michaels hospital -general male floor - geriatric care
• AMU- acute medicine

Worked on a stroke ward, ICU, Emergency department, CCU, Urology, Geriatric, surgical, theatre, and colorectal wards.

• While I was a student nurse I spent time working as a carer in multiple hospitals and Nursing Homes around Dublin
• The variation of hospitals and nursing homes allowed me to learn to quickly adapt to new working environments.
