I have had the privilege of assisting Dr. Lisa Pearce with animal surgeries, providing valuable support and contributing to the well-being of animals in need. This immersive experience allowed me to witness firsthand the precision and expertise required in surgical procedures, from per-operative preparations to post-operative care.

Collaborating closely with Dr. Pearce, i ensured the smooth flow of surgeries by preparing surgical instruments, sterilizing equipment, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting with patient recovery. This hands on involvement affirmed my passion for animal healthcare and solidified my aspiration to pursue a career in veterinary nursing/the animal care industry. I am now eagerly seeking a more consistent opportunity where i can continue to develop my skills and contribute to the excellent care of animals on an ongoing basis.

During my 40+ hours of work experience at the Armadale Reptile Centre, I was involved in various critical tasks including cleaning enclosures for all animal types. and identifying potential hazards. I also managed feeding procedures tailored to both carnivores and herbivores, ensuring the appropriate handling of mixed exhibits. My responsibilities extended to providing clean water and maintaining uncontaminated water sources. I handled docile reptiles for public interactions and, after initial supervision, successfully completed these tasks independently.
