Enoch Strickland

The responsibilities of this role is to help influence the Centre’s future strategy to helping get younger people involved and participating in ethics and debating. With strong interest from 74 people, the final 12 selected for the 2023 Council are a diverse group of high school and university students and early career entrants located in regional and metropolitan areas across Australia.

I have been undergoing the process to publish an article on the Ethic's centre website and will helping host a "thinking" session at one of Canberra's High Schools.

This is a new role for me, and will be doing my best to represent young people and use my voice for rural Central Australians.

Previously as a General Representative my responsibilities include voicing concerns to the executive team of the ANUYL’s that their decisions and actions of the club remain grounded and within the interests of the students who have joined our club. I also assist in penning articles in the ACTYL website, voting on and tabling policy motions, campaigning and organising events.

I have recently been elected as a Treasurer of the ACT Young Liberals, my responsibilities include the management of the Club's finances and assisting the President execute her role competently.

• I work to complete many administrative tasks, such as managing the letters sent from the office, manning the reception to answer queries and listen to issues raised by constituents

• Within this role I have learnt basic skills in using excel and feedback.
• Greeted visitors and provided them with assistance.

• Member for the Northern Territory Youth Round Table
• Part of an advisory board on Youth issues within the Northern Territory, ranging from topics of youth crime, sexual health, and youth engagement with government services
• During my one year tenure, I also participated in the Menzies School of Health
• Declaration in 2019.
• Developed and implemented strategies to engage youth in civic engagement activities.
• Provided guidance and support to other council members in developing projects.
• Organized and attended meetings with government representatives to discuss youth perspectives.

• Did mostly front counter and drive through (customer service) which occasional shifts doing fries and managing orders
• Also consisted a lot of cleaning, such as mopping, washing dishes and cooperating with team members to help deliver orders
• To ensure orders were fulfilled as quickly as possible such as making sure all drinks were served, and serving the ice creams
• This sometimes required to fix the machine or improvise when the manager was busy.
• Educated customers on menu items, product ingredients and nutritional values.
• Performed cashier duties such as taking orders, collecting payments and providing change.
• Restocked kitchen supplies including food products and utensils.
• Cleaned restaurant area by sweeping floors, wiping tables and emptying trash receptacles.

• Volunteering as a Teen Team Leader which helped look after kids during Sunday
