  • Used CAD software such as AutoCAD, SpaceGas, Revit and sketch up to design scaffold for construction projects
  • Learned to analyse building plans to have proper idea on how to place scaffold
  • Visited project sites during construction to monitor progress and make changes in design
  • Calculated dead loads, live loads earthquake and wind loads for scaffolding that were used in design
  • Calculated bending moments, shear force for standards, ledgers and transoms in scaffolding to ensure stability of scaffold
  • Assisted design engineers in designing of scaffold for smaller projects such as buildings

INTERN CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER

IONIC PROJECTS AUSTRALIA
02.2019 - 08.2019
  • Assisted in estimating quantities and cost of materials, equipment and labor to determine project feasibility
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and clients which resulted in good communication and progress
  • Compiled ITP's, checked compaction records and collated QA information
  • Learned to analyse survey reports, maps, blueprints and other topographical and geologic data
  • Visited project sites during construction to monitor progress and ensure everything was as planned
  • Assisted in making schedule for various crews and sub-contractors working on site
  • Calculated dead loads, wind loads and earthquake loads for RC buildings that were applied in designs
  • Calculated amounts of reinforcement to be given in beams and columns

Accomplishments

    PINJARA ROAD UPGRADE

  • During my stay at city of Mandurah, I attended meetings during the early planning stages of Pinjara road upgrade.
  • Carried out traffic counts along Pinjara road to determine traffic peak rates to allocate what type of cross section to design that can support the type of vehicle class.
  • Assisted with carrying out underground surveys with the help of dial before you dig to determine what and where the service networks are located beneath the existing road pavement.
  • Assisted engineers to carry material costs estimations for Pinjara road using benchmark software, upgraded traffic and safety management plans.
  • PRELUDE FNLG SHELL SCAFFOLD DESIGN

  • Assisted with the geometrical and structural design of access scaffold on the prelude FNLG carrier to make renovations under Caledonia group using sketch up, AutoCAD and space gas software.
  • Calculated the wind loads and live loads acting onto the scaffold with assistance of the design team.
  • Made cost estimations of amount of scaffold needed for the project.
  • RIVER FRANKLAND

  • During my hydraulics and hydrology unit I was involved in a group project that included modeling of frankland river using HEC-RAS software and hydrological data from Australia Government Bureau OF Meteorology.
  • Designed optimum hydraulic cross-sections, estimated peak flows using IFD chart, perform a steady-state flow analysis to investigate how the water surface profiles and hydraulic parameters change along a river.
  • Estimated water surface profiles using HEC-RAS using geometrical and hydraulic parameters such as slope, hydraulic radius, flow rate, channel roughness and other factors.
  • MULTI-STORY CAR PARK

  • In my third year, I was involved in a course work group project to design a multi-story car park that consisted of three floors designed with steel beams and reinforced precast concrete.
  • Used SpaceGas software in the design to calculate wind loads, buckling in columns and bending moments.
