Erin has almost 15 years of experience working at the intersection of social strategy and urban planning to help improve health, social and economic outcomes for communities across Australia. She is an expert in social and cultural infrastructure planning, social strategy development, program and policy evaluation, stakeholder engagement, social value and impact measurement and community needs assessment.
Erin is a passionate advocate for the role of arts and culture in building communities and fostering social cohesion. She is particularly focussed on identifying opportunities to provide long term, secure and affordable accommodation for artists and creative practitioners.
She is also interested in how Social Value Measurement models can be used to demonstrate the intrinsic value that arts and culture has to society, beyond a purely economic measure.
Erin is a trusted advisor having worked on a wide of range of projects for clients in government, not for profit and private sectors. She takes a multifaceted view to social and urban challenges and understands the importance of bringing stakeholders together around a shared vision. As a skilled facilitator she has extensive experience developing and coordinating targeted engagement processes and takes pride in working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify ambitious but practical solutions to complex problems.
As an Associate Director in the Social Strategy team at Ethos Urban I work with developers, government and not for profit organisations to undertake social and cultural infrastructure assessments, prepare social impact assessments and develop policy and strategies to support positive social outcomes.

As a Senior Manager in the NSW Department of Planning's Place, Design and Public Spaces team, I was responsible for leading and managing several major programs and projects including the $250 million Public Spaces Legacy Program, the $20 million Everyone Can Play Program, and the Places to Swim and Places to Play Programs. Contributed to research for first NSW open space strategy.

As a Project Manager at Elton Consulting I was responsible for leading a range of social sustainability strategies and policies, and program reviews as well as preparing social infrastructure assessments to inform large urban renewal and masterplanned developments. I was also involved in significant community and stakeholder engagement projects, including Sydney's CBD and South East Light Rail project and the stakeholder engagement to inform the development of the Social Housing Reform Discussion Paper for NSW Family and Community Services.
