• Dispensing and Patient care:

- Accurately dispense prescription and non-prescription medications.

- Counsel patients on proper use of medications, side effects, and interactions.

- Provide health advice, medication reviews, and support program such as MedCheck.

• Stock Management:

- Order medications and pharmacy supplies.

- Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or expiries.

- Monitor and rotate stock, manage expired/damaged goods according to policy.

• Controlled Medication (S8) Management:

- Handle and store Schedule 8 medications in compliance with local regulations.

- Maintain accurate S8 drug registers, including daily reconciliation and incident documentation.

• Regulatory Compliance:

- Maintain accurate patient and prescription records.

- Stay updated with PBS and legal changes.

• Team Collaboration:

- Supervise and mentor pharmacy interns, students, and assistants.

- Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and healthcare providers to support continuity of care.

- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

• Customer Service and Retail Support:

- Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with regular clients

-Support the front shop team if needed.

- Promote pharmacy services, programs and in-store campaigns.

• Qualifications and Skills:

- AHPRA-registered pharmacist.

- Good understanding of PBS, S8 protocols, and pharmacy legislation.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage workload and work efficiently in a team.

- Experience with MyScript dispensing system.

• Assisted in conducting market research to support project development and strategic planning.
