As an endoscopy assistant, I have looked after patients pre-admission, peri-procedure, and post-recovery for numerous endoscopy procedures. This adheres to patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. These include: gastroscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, EBUS, ERCP and EUS. I particularly enjoyed ERCP procedures, liaising with other members of the team, including imaging staff, consultants, nurses, and other endoscopy assistants. This in turn promotes best quality outcomes for our patients. Skills that I have gained during my time as an endoscopy assistant include:

• using the APC for emergency bleed patients,

• Learnt practical skills and techniques by shadowing senior staff to understand organisation's operations, policies and procedures.

We also go to theatres for emergencies, taking our own equipment and supporting the endoscopist. My interpersonal skills are utilised during the procedure when we look after the patient, making sure that they are at ease and comfortable. Update in-house training;

• am also skilled in cannulating patients and taking blood
• providing information on dementia and diabetes to help patients.

For our endoscopy unit, I am the Diabetic Champion; this involves knowing about Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, giving information about diabetes. For this post, l have made a folder of information about diabetes and am currently working on a booklet to help patients understand more about procedures, what they can do if they feel hypoglycaemic, and what they can take. In our endoscopy department, frequently our patients are diagnosed with cancer; using my interpersonal skills, I support the doctor when delivering this news. Our endoscopy unit was awarded JAG accreditation due to our high standard of care for patients, and updated training and training for new software. I also help within the department for translating as also speak Romanian.

I have worked as a Decontamination Assistant Technical Officer in Sterile Services and Endoscopy decontamination.

Using large cleaning machines to sterilise equipment to be prepared for surgery's or clinic. We organised the cleaning equipment ready for use.

• Working in a fast paced environment and working to a high standard. Using It base system, Hesta as the machines.
• Working in autoclave machines and putting all the work in and taking them out.
• Taking orders and helping to dispatch to different departments or different hospitals.
• Taken the duties that involved contaminated instrument/tray received in Sterilise Services from reciting, checking, loading/unloading washers, packing, autoclaving and despatching them.
• As well understanding how to handle the difference scopes with care. Able to use EDFlow washers to sterilise the used scopes so they are safe and clean, and using the Wassenberg drying cabinets.
• I am familiar with scopetech and have knowledge with how scopes work and how long they are used for.

I would solve any issues with items that have wrong supplier/transit information and make sure they are heading to the correct customer/ location. Any issues that operators were having with there items I would also help with and make sure all online errors were corrected. This role was mainly IT technical support which Amazon called problem solving department. Assisted customers with product-related questions, feedback and complaints. Attended to incoming enquiries within target timeframes. Managed high volumes of inbound queries, prioritising issues for efficient resolution.
