Hardworking and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure entry-level (Permit To Work Officer) position. Ready to help team achieve company goals.
Before the permit is issued,a source of equipment must be isolated.
An isolation procedure is a set of predetermined steps that is be followed when workers are required to perform tasks such as inspection, maintenance, cleaning, repair and construction.
The following lock-out process is the most effective isolation procedure:
· shut down the machinery and equipment
· identify all energy sources and other hazards
· identify all isolation points
· isolate all energy sources,
in the case of electrical equipment ‘whole current isolation’, such as the main isolator, should be used instead of ‘control isolation’ by way of the stop button on a control panel
· control or de-energise all stored energy
· lock-out all isolation points, using padlocks, multi- padlock hasps and danger tags
· 'danger tag' machinery controls, energy sources and other hazards.
After equipment’s are isolated, the permit to work is issued to workgroup.
The main aim of any Permit to Work System is to ensure proper consideration is given to any risks surrounding a specific job before work commences.
Permit-to-work requires declarations from the people authorizing the work and carrying out the work. Where necessary it requires a declaration from those involved in shift handover procedures or extensions to the work. Finally, before equipment or machinery is put back into service, it will require a declaration from the permit originator that it is ready for normal use.
After job completetion, the permit closed and deisolate equipment for normal operational.
