oriental taste is a busy Chinese takeaway, in which we receive over 2000 orders a night. because of this a level of professionalism and experience had to be applied to ensure we kept up to our amazing reputation as the best takeaway in the area. guests would be greeted with a welcoming atmosphere, a tidy and organised work space and presentable staff. when working this role, i was in charge of a number of duties involving handling and keeping track of cash taking and inventory stock lists. closing and opening duties, setting up for the shift ahead and the next shift. ensuring all staff had a job to do and maintained a level of professionalism with customers. Trained new staff in front-of-house procedures, customer relations, and cleaning. Operated multi-line telephone console system to answer and triage calls to designated recipients, offering smooth communications and correct orders for the kitchen. Greeted customers and answered inquiries regarding menu items and specials. Followed safety and sanitation policies while handling food and beverages to uphold proper health standards.

As an animal lover, i was extremely enthusiastic about my job role. some of my duties included;

• Prepared food and water following instructions from pet owners.
• Cleaned out and scooped litter trays and food and water bowls to provide clean environment for pets.
• Communicated professionally with pet owners via phone, email, and text.
• Gave medication to pets following guidelines from owners.
• Washed, trimmed and brushed animals to maintain good grooming standards.
• walked and played with the dogs to allow them to maintain the exercise they needed.

At my time working at cafe thai, i learnt a handful of applicable skills. cafe thai was a popular thai restaurant, bringing in nearly 200 customers every night. because of this i had to work at a fast pace whilst also remaining clam and ensuring everything was running smoothly. my roles included, resetting and sterilizing tables to keep the dining room and work areas clean and up to standard. Training new staff on the intricate menu items and the correct thai pronunciation's also whilst ensuring they knew the correct way of dealing with allergens in dishes. i would also keep myself up to date with any menu changes so i could recommend and advise my customers on any new allergen information if necessary. Furthermore on saturdays and sundays we would offer a bottomless brunch special, in which i would be working behind the bar, keeping it well stocked and presentable to meet customer needs. i also performed opening and closing duties, setting up for incoming shifts the next morning, taking inventory and preparing rotas for the following week. after working as a waitress and a bartender for more than two years, i have learnt how to deal with a level of different customers and situations. im friendly and enthusiastic about my job role, i can adapt to different environments quickly and i enjoy the fast pace working environment.
