FAITH LENORE SMITH

I am looking to establish a career in Corrections as I have spent much of my experience working within Australian Government. My last role, within the Australian Taxation Office allowed me to establish client roles to assist in establishing taxation compliance whilst at the same time showing compassion and assisting with tax affairs where applicable. I have developed an admiration for staff within corrections for their ability to similar in nature by ensuring safety and compliance whilst managing individuals with extensive difficulties as well as their loved ones who are also navigating the sometimes new ways of corrections. I do have personal experience with individuals who have entered the system and have watched the process and adaptations to such. I feel as though I have the perfect balance of experience between my work in Government and my work within the security industry. I am able to read and interpret policy and procedures and apply accordingly where applicable. I have spent the last ten years supporting my children who have autism and my elderly mother. I have an extremely kind, compassionate nature and am seeking the opportunity to work in a setting that allows me to make a difference. I do have this extensive background working within the Australian Government. I have the time to dedicate to your cause and would feel privileged to be a part of a team of people making a difference to the system as well as the community. I want to gain more knowledge and experience and hopefully work to help other families, individuals and carers in a positive way. I am impassioned to take this step forward for the greater good. It is the perfect time for me to re-enter the workforce as my family is established and we have a wonderful system of support for all in our household.
