- Working as “Senior Developer” in Tally Group since November 2022. However, despite the job title, my work is almost evenly distributed across MS SQL Server, C#, and Sybase Power Builder.
- I have been extensively using Transact SQL (T-SQL) and standard SQL for coding complex DB Procedures, Functions, Triggers, & Views as well as ad hoc querying for investigating issues or bugs.
- SQL Server Profiler is also used for analysing and fixing performance issues, while SQL Server Service Broker Architecture & queuing techniques, and SQL Server Agent jobs are used for synchronising various in-house systems to act in harmony and coordination as per predefined schedules.
- Another important tool we use is SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), which is used to design & execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) over the data. This execution happens every night at a fixed time and ultimately populates an Analytics database, which helps in calculating best offers for customers.
- Many ad hoc reports for the business are created using Power BI Desktop from time to time.
- Also participate in frontend work using Microsoft C# and Sybase Power Builder. For code versioning, we use GIT, SVN, & VSS. We also use tools like Tortoise GIT, Tortoise SVN, & Source Tree. We collaborate using SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams, & MS Outlook.
- The employer is a leader in cloud-based billing solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and many more countries throughout the world. They provide next generation SaaS software solutions for energy retailers which automate billing, empower customers, and fast-track innovation. - Worked for Emersion as a Software Developer between May 2016 & Oct 2022. The job responsibilities included extensive object-oriented programming using PHP under a custom framework which is much like Code Igniter.

- Previously worked in the “In-House Development” division of the same department as well. I had been contributing / leading the design, development, and implementation of several key projects using Oracle Forms & Oracle Reports, SQL & PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PHP, and Classic ASP.
