• Perform quality checks, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions to optimize laboratory processes.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient laboratory operations, including training and supervising new staff and interns.
• Update and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on process improvements and feedback.
• Implement 5S methodologies to enhance laboratory safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.

• Conduct routine laboratory procedures, including titration, dilution, and filtration, to support various analytical tests.
• Prepare chemical reagents, buffers, and standard solutions according to specific testing requirements.
• Assist with the preparation and setup of laboratory equipment and materials for practical classes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and in optimal working condition.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory cleanliness and safety by adhering to OH&S guidelines for chemical handling and waste disposal.
• Support inventory management by conducting stock checks of glassware, chemicals, and solvents.
• Monitor and manage the chemical inventory, ensuring compliance with hazardous chemical storage and disposal procedures.

• Prepare culture plates, buffers, and chemicals for various analytical tests.
• Assist with sample preparation and testing, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment under supervision.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment, including proper waste disposal.
• Communicate effectively with the laboratory supervisor regarding any issues or anomalies encountered during testing

Performing appropriate identification and labelling of samples
• Performing DNA/RNA extraction using fully automated and semi-automated systems
• Performing agarose gel DNA characterization and PCR
• Run the varieties of samples in GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and UV-VIS spectrophotometer
• Determine normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses
of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices
• Analyse blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopic techniques and
procedures.
• Analyse the chromatograms and prepare the results
