With a dedicated customer focus, I am proficient in best practice customer service and strive to deliver quality service and support to clients and customers.
I am currently employed casually in two positions, one of which is in the tourism sector, the other in a tertiary education environment, both requiring attention to detail and the servicing of customer needs.
As an outdoor guide at Penny Royal Adventures, I have a sound understanding of experiential outdoor activities. With over 4 years of safe adventure activities experience, I am responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers; immediately reporting any potential hazards. I have a friendly and professional approach and assist the adventure team to run effectively and efficiently. Excellent customer service is required to ensure the customers are feeling safe and ready for their activity and of course, ensuring they have a great experience.
The role at UTAS is a more responsible role as a team leader/casual English exam supervisor where I assist a team of staff to deliver a safe, professional and fair exam experience.
Due to the nature of the exam being for individuals who speak English as a second language, I have developed skills in clear and concise communication I have also increased my capacity to discuss and interpret information received under difficult and sometimes unclear circumstances.
The exam is a high stakes exam for candidates and the security of test materials and candidate data is a primary responsibility. I am also tasked with passport identification checks to ensure there are no imposters on test day. The identification process involves using biometric data, photographic evidence and manual checks. The exams administration uses several platforms on test day, including web based systems, SFTP sites, a variety of software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
I am a motivated and reliable individual, work well independently and in a team, and use initiative in getting the job done.
