Working along side a Head gardener to assist and carry out garden Maintenance and Landscaping within private gardens across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire. Keeping excellent time management on jobs due to tight schedules - visiting up to 20 different clients in a week.

Quality communication has been the key to carrying out tasks effectively and as efficiently as possible. Keeping physically fit and healthy during the busy summer season was also very important to keep the flow of work as schedules were very tight.
My Experience with George Stone Gardens opened me up to bigger landscaping projects as well as various garden maintenance clients. Working in larger teams that frequently mixed meant no two days were the same.
Due to the mixing of teams I had to adapt and improve my communication skills in order to carry out jobs effectively and efficiently. Being able to take instructions from management and carry out jobs with given time constraints was very important.
General maintenance and Gardening carried out on the grounds of a grade 2 listed property dating back to the 11th century in the Cotswolds.
My main tasks consisted of mowing, weeding, hedge cutting, strimming paddocks, seasonal cutbacks, border work and waste clearance on a mini tractor / trailer John Deer.
My other responsibilities included walking the owners dogs and every so often furniture installation and removals Inside the Manor House and other properties associated with the owners.
Working as a Quarry operative in Syreford, Gloucestershire.
Joined a large team of operatives for a summer job and quickly had to learn the process of cutting and shaping Cotswold Stone from the Quarry. Meeting daily quantity requirements was essential and challenging due to the fast paced environment of the quarry. Being able to operate machinery safely and effectively for the team was also a crucial factor for the job. My main responsibilities were creating metal baskets for rockery deliveries, tumbling cut stone from the warehouse to be stacked and wrapped for delivery and cutting natural stone and shaping with rock hammers to be stacked and wrapped for deliveries. The work was very Labour intensive in all weather conditions.
Aladdins Cave is a old London train station converted to a salvage shop containing furniture, art and numerous collectable items.
Working at Aladdin’s cave required excellent customer service and knowledge of household furniture and appliances. Keeping the shop organized and tidy, setting up a 6am and packing away the shop front at 5pm. The shop itself embodied the real ‘old London’ Offering people a unique shopping experience in a makeshift converted shop / yard.
Assisting Customers and arranging delivery / sales at busy sites during the festive season.
My main responsibilities were to unload and present Christmas trees on various sites around South West London. Being able to remain professional and engaging with members of the public during busy periods was key. Communicating with colleagues to keep the working environment fun and productive was another attribute I took to the job. Opening and closing sites independently and sometimes with one other was another responsibility during this job.
