Personal Care Assistant
As my job in personal care assistance, i make it my passion to care for and assist the elderly of our community to achieve the highest level quality of life. i assist anywhere between 40kg-230kg people to ensure they are comfortable, clean and happy. I have high level knowledge of organisation skills, hygiene, a sanitised environment and have an extended level of capability to assist in and protect from work place hazards. As my job in the carer industry, it is my duty to understand a person, sympathise and listen, to ensure they are being treated with dignity and to also ensure they are in the safest and most comfortable environment possible.
A day to day in my current job would insist of showering, dressing, cleaning, pulling and lifting heavy duty equipment, serving, speaking to families about their loved ones in a professional yet personal basis, knowing and understanding all about a resident to be able to hand over the most accurate update possible to anyone and everyone deemed confidential to that person and to be attentive and punctual with all duties as it is a high risk area of many hazards and time consuming situations.
