Accomplishments

  • Collaborated with 3 peers to organise and host bi-annual composition cohort concert at the University of Melbourne in 2022. Project involved building relationships with concert production staff and performers, organising rehearsal times, promotion of concert, and the composition of original music. The concert was a success and a huge learning curve in my development as a musician beyond being a performer.
  • Successfully gained entry into Composition major stream at the MCM beginning 2022, following a portfolio submission and a new work.
  • Successfully passed entrance audition for the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in November 2020. This was a particularly special achievement, as I had spent the greater part of 2020 teaching myself to play the tuba again after leaving it behind when I graduated high school in 2014. After passing my audition, I was awarded the Bachelor of Music Entrance Grant Scholarship.
  • Won the auditions for tubist in the Melbourne Youth Orchestra Flagship ensemble in 2021 and 2022.
