I commenced at MMS as a part time (job share) receptionist, finishing as a Facilities Administrator.

Over the nearly 19 years my role changed and evolved.

My duties included:

  • Answering switchboard
  • Greeting Guests
  • Booking Travel
  • Monitoring and ordering of Stationery and other supplies
  • Managing the meeting rooms, ensuring they were tidy and not double booked
  • Reconciling of Credit Cards for senior managers
  • Processing of Invoices for the Maintenance Team (starting with the Leasebase system & moving over to the Miles System)
  • Managing of Archiving, ensuring that all documents were recorded before being sent offsite.
  • The Archiving role evolved to me managing all archiving for the MMS group across all states, including the moving of records to a single supplier, or running down old accounts that were too expensive to move.
  • Maintaining Emergency Registers, initially for Chatswood, latterly for all the MMS offices
  • Liaising with Building manager for Chatswood regarding issues with our office when required. Also liaising with other suppliers in regard to the Chatswood Office (and later with other MMS offices) when the need arose.
  • Processing of invoices for facilities related payments using the (firstly, in JDE system, the in Concur system, where I was a Subject Matter Expert.
  • I was a Fire Warden for 15 years, ending as the Floor Warden for our tenancy.
  • I was also a member of the Social Club committee and was involved in organising social events for the Chatswood Office including Christmas Parties.
