The main focus of my practice is on helping people struggling with psychological problems arising from interpersonal trauma. I am fortunate to have worked accross a variety of different treatment, settings and have many years of experience working at the intersection of individuals diagnosed with severe personality disorders, eating disorders, dissociative disorders, many of whom might be better formulated as suffering from a chronic form of PTSD.
The many clients/patients I have worked with have helped me build a solid understanding of what it is to be living in a fractured self on a day-to-day basis. Professional development in IFS, EMDR, the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment (DMM) , DBT and some of the somatic psychotherapies, has enabled me to work flexibly within a range of modalities and to tailor individualised treatment plans that integrate compatible evidence-based models for the treatment of trauma symptoms.
I also work with high prevalence disorders including anxiety, depression and aim always to build authentic, well-bounded therapeutic relationships. I thoroughly enjoy providing peer supervision to clinical and general psychologists.
In fear and trepidation, I established a solo private practice in 2012. My practice is busy and my services in demand. I have proud of this achievement, and have enjoyed learning how to run a small business as well as doing the clinical work.
