Flavio Palaci joined MBO Partners in 2021 as Chief Platform and Digital Transformation Officer. He drives the roadmap and competitive strategy to MBO’s platform and ecosystem by applying AI, automation and unique data sets to enable demonstrable business performance.
He will focus on the creation of an unrivalled ecosystem and deliver unique interactions, hyper-personalisation and seamless user experience to its user base.
He is tasked with taking MBO’s platform as the future agile workforce platform for providers and enterprises worldwide - to work when you like, solving problems that truely matter and improving the well-being of professionals everywhere.
Flavio is responsible for the end to end, product, engineering and technology budget comprising of over $15M spend.
In this period Flavio deployed 2 acquisition integrations into the platform, enhanced our backend for a seamless frictionless experience, deployed our enterprise customer experience layer and deployed our mobile capability. We also launched 3 new products into the market during this time. MBO is now recognised at the largest B2B platform in the world.
Flavio has the pleasure of leading PwC’s Global Advisory Data and Analytics Practice. The global practice comprises of over 10,000 of data driven experts powered by over 100’s of analytic apps combined with deep information and insight platforms.
When Flavio started this role, it was a $1.1B global business and in 3 years doubled the business to over $2B in global revenues with over 10% of this in asset/product/license led engagements.
PwC also went from a challenger of AI in 2017 to recognised as one of the undisputed leaders in AI in 2021.
Flavio had accountability for all of PwC product development, market penetration and software license agreements. The annal build budget was in excess of $35M a year generating over $200M in alternate revenues.
Flavio was responsible for the global strategy and execution across all business lines with a personal focus on financial services, retail and telecommunications clients.

- Tier 1 Global Bank - Risk and regulatory AML automation and software calibration and look-back (over $250m engagement)
- Tier 1 Retailer - Developed their subscription platform using PwC's Customer Insight Platform (over $20M engagement)
Flavio lead two service lines across Central Europe. Firstly, he is the regional Managing Partner for Data Analytics. In this role he is responsible for the overall practice including the brand defining Experience Centre and our market leading Application Development/Rapid Prototyping Practice. This is the largest digital/analytics practice in CEE amongst our competitors focusing of AI/Machine Learning/IoT and asset based consulting (digital platforms and applications). This practice is cross-functional in discipline and serves the global firm across Advisory/Tax/Assurance.
In addition, Flavio has the pleasure of leading the regional Forensic Technology Solutions and Financial Crime Advisory Practice within Central Europe. This practice has a strong foundation in technology, data analytics and disruptive applications that help clients transform their business and generate significant value. He is responsible for the financial crime advisory (Fraud, AML, Sanctions) programs, technology implementation programs, platform and application development, cyber security response, forensic technology including eDiscovery and Computer Forensics. Flavio has is spearheading our “compliance as a competitive advantage” strategic program within PwC.
Flavio leads the Analytics Practice across Central Europe and co-leads Retail Banking Growth/Customer Analytics and Financial Crime Analytics across EMEA. Flavio is responsible for the overall practice, covering; Customer Analytics, Risk and Regulatory Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, Workforce Analytics and Finance Analytics. Flavio has built the firms Centre of Excellence (CoE) for delivering within EMEA.
In his EMEA role, he is responsible for cross sell, up sell, retention and multichannel strategies for global banking institutions. This set the foundation for developing the firms retail banking growth engine and has accountability for the global product. Flavio has led many global customer analytics and retail banking programs, these include social media analytics, branch optimization, retention, churn, bank of the future, propensity to buy, customer lifetime value, multichannel analytics, customer and share of wallet programs.
Additionally, Flavio co-leads Financial Crime Analytics across EMEA. He is responsible for delivering an effective engineered strategy for clients to reduce and detect operational risks such as fraud, compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions and Embargo, business process leakage and intellectual property theft. Underpinning these services is the application of advanced analytic technology to drive and focus on reducing operational costs.
