Summary

The objectives and goals I wish to achieve as I continue through my life are central to my work ethic, and consistently play a role in modelling the attitude I bring to work every day. These attitudes reflect the values I have learned and continue to learn through my share of employment. I am a firm believer in investment: building better outcomes for all of society through every exhaustible avenue. As a follower and a leader, I strive to cohesively achieve the outcomes and aspirations that we collectively set as a workgroup, as a branch, or as an organisation. The strategic utilisation of people, resources and time must be concentrated towards achieving these outcomes, with clear indicators and framework in place to assess the quality of these outcomes.

There are many challenges we encounter in the face of change and business progression, and this can often be confronting or uncomfortable. I am keen to to investigate, model, and solve these challenges. Not only do I consider this an objective, but a passion. This is why I couldn't be prouder or more privileged to be a public servant, and I hope to continue serving and promoting this amazing state, and all who call it home.

Gregory Forsyth – Principal Advisor (Driving Examiner), Department of Transport and Main Roads

Phone: 0419 566 152

Email: Gregory.j.forsyth@tmr.qld.gov.au

Greg has known me from the first day I started at TMR and has been one of the greatest friends and colleagues that I have ever had the privilege of working alongside. Greg administers most aspects of Driver Licence Testing in our region, and therefore has multiple staff who report directly to him. As I am not a driving examiner, Greg does not have a direct role in my function as a CSO but is primarily located in the same office. As a result, he has been perfectly positioned to witness my development and provide observations on this progress.

Sushila Ryan – Senior Advisor, Service Management, Department of Transport and Main Roads

Phone: 0423947633

Email: sushila.d.ryan@tmr.qld.gov.au

Sushila is a Senior Advisor at the Department, and in this role, she oversees the day-to-day operation of the customer service centre along with the other Senior Advisors, who report to the Manager of our centre. In this role, Sushila advises the CSOs on policy and procedure, and as a result of this, would be an excellent member of the management team who can measure my performance, as well as provide feedback and a general assessment of my ability as a customer service officer. Sushila and I have an outstanding working and personal relationship and thrive on each other’s ability to perform at a high standard.

Ronald McKenzie – Senior Advisor, Service Management, Department of Transport and Main Roads

Phone: 46390791

Email: ronald.w.mckenzie@tmr.qld.gov.au

Ron is one of the three Senior Advisors currently at the Department, and like Sushila, has had a large role in my development, and has also relieved as Manager on multiple occasions. I had the pleasure of attending the Learner Licence Program that is run externally by the Department, and so we have got to know each other quite well personally. As a Senior Advisor, Ron provides advice on policy and procedure, as well as managing the operation of the centre. Ron has known me since my beginning at the Department.
