- Manipal Hospital Bangalore is one of the first and foremost corporate hospitals in Bangalore, which is ISO 9000-2001 CERTIFIED for clinical, nursing and cleanliness. It is a multi specialty hospital with emphasis on super specialties. The hospital is also accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH). Manipal hospital has bed strength of more than 650 along with more than 90 intensive care beds. The intensive care units are separate for general intensive care, neonatal and paediatric intensive care, cardiac, neurosurgical intensive care units and neonatal I C U with 20 Bassinets. There are 16 operation theatres, which perform more than 12500 surgeries per year. Large number of major surgeries like kidney and liver transplant, laparoscopic surgeries and others are routinely performed. This being a referral center, most of patients are sick and with complicated diseases. Large number of trauma and emergency is undertaken in this hospital.
